Slade Smith capped off an award winning career at Fort Payne High School with a selection to the TPX All-American team as an honorable mention pitcher.  Slade finnished the season with a 7-1 record and a 1.77 ERA. 

Congratulations to Kyle Conkle and Kyle Crabtree, as they will be representing the Fort Payne Baseball Team at the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Weekend.  They will participate as all-stars against players from across the entire state on July 2-5 at Troy University.

Contratulations to SLADE SMITH and KYLE CONKLE on bieng named to the 2009 ASWA All-State team.  Smith was named to the 1st Team as a Pitcher and Conkle was named as an Honorable Mention as a Firstbaseman.  It is the second All-State team for both players.

Contrats to Slade Smith and Kyle Conkle for bieng named to the Times-Journal All-County Team.  Smith was named PITCHER OF THE YEAR and Conkle was named as a UTILITY PLAYER.

Congratulations to the Wildcats for being ranked #10 in the final Alabama Sports Writers Association poll for 2009.  This is the 2nd year in a row the Cats have been #10 at the end of the year.

Congrats to the 2009 Wildcats for setting the school record for wins in a season with 21.  That beats the old record of 20 done 3 times including last season.
